Nickel Asia Corporation, the largest nickel mining company in the Philippines today, implemented its corporate Voice over IP (VoIP) network. The company appointed NewGen IT to help it design and install a cost-effective system with the aim of reducing the overall cost of corporate voice communications between their corporate headquarters and their remote offices in the mine sites.
NewGen IT proposed a system from AudioCodes Ltd. that offers innovative, reliable and cost-effective Voice Network that includes in its list of features, low cost call conferencing. The VoIP network provides Voice over IP connectivity between Nickel Asia's corporate head quarters in Makati to the remote locations in the following mine sites:
- Rio Tuba in Bataraza, Palawan
- Cagdianao in Dinagat Islands
- Taganito in Surigao del Norte
- Taganaan in Surigao del Norte
NewGen IT installed AudioCodes MediaPack Analog Media Gateway. This product family is based on AudioCodes' field-proven and best-of-breed VoIP technology. Featuring 2, 4, 8, or 24 analog ports, the gateways connect analog terminals, PBXs or key systems to the IP network using FXO or FXS connectivity. Compliant with multiple protocols including SIP, H.323 and MGCP, the Analog Media Gateways enable flexible deployment and interoperability for the evolving next generation networks
